AFTER DARK is a site-responsive sound installation built from repeated recording walks through a city after dark. Moving through streets, transit systems, businesses, places of worship, private interiors, public gatherings, and the spaces between them, each edition collects a series of partial journeys through a place at hours when its daytime identity has begun to loosen.
The recordings are later brought together inside the installation, where separate places and separate moments are allowed to happen at once.
A night unfolds in multiple directions. The work does not ask to be followed, only entered.
『AFTER DARK』は、夜更けの街を繰り返し歩きながら録音した音源をもとに制作された、場所に応じたサウンド・インスタレーションです。通り、公共交通機関、店舗、礼拝所、私的な室内、公共の集会所、そしてそれらの間の空間を巡りながら、各回ごとに、その場所が日中の姿から徐々に解き放たれ始める時間帯における、一連の部分的な旅の記録が収集されます。
録音された音源は後にインスタレーション内で統合され、そこでは、別々の場所や別々の瞬間が同時に存在できるようになります。
夜は多方向に広がっていく。この作品は、追いかけることを求めず、ただその中へ足を踏み入れることを求めている。

Her work builds immersive environments from field recording, found technologies, composed sound, light, architecture, and performance—creating spaces that are meant to be inhabited rather than simply observed.
